We made&nbsp;sure the&nbsp;CoyoteVest&nbsp;is easy to use so that you&nbsp;can get in the habit of putting it on your dog every time you go out - just like we do.&nbsp;</p><p>The CoyoteVest also comes with a full set of removable chrome spikes. Spikes for the neck and set (2) Spike strips for the sides of the back. The spikes&nbsp;are made from very hard plastic and they're&nbsp;not dangerous to handle, but with enough pressure they're sharp enough to hurt. The spikes provide an important line of defense but Velcro makes them easy to&nbsp;remove whenever you want.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The CoyoteVest utilizes an adjustable waist belt and adjustable collar and it can accommodate a variety of dog shapes and sizes.&nbsp;There's a D-ring where you can connect your leash and reflective features that make your dog more visible at night.&nbsp;The&nbsp;vest is water-proof,&nbsp;there are no metal parts that can rust, and it's hand-washable with a mild detergent and air dry in shade. Hold the ruler straight do not bend it down over the dogs behind.&nbsp;&nbsp;We have found that measuring the back length by following the dog's back curvature can add to the length and throw off the sizing. The vests are designed with a straight back and do not have a curve to them. So when measuring, it's important that your dog is standing and you're measuring a straight shot from the front shoulder to the start of the tail without curving the measuring tape.&nbsp;The collar and the waist are very adjustable as we make the straps extra long.
